Questions
What kind of photo works best?
A high-resolution, well-lit shot with a clear view of the house and a tidy yard. Avoid the sun directly behind the house. Listing photos from Zillow, Trulia or Google Street View work too.
Can you edit my photo?
We can: remove neighboring houses and small objects, green up the grass, brighten the sky and add landscaping.
We can't: remove large trees or shadows blocking the house, change the angle, recolor the whole house, or add or remove snow.
Will I see a proof?
For wall portraits we email you a proof to approve before we print. For ornaments we send one if you ask for it when you order.
Which style should I choose?
Watercolor is soft and colorful and our most popular. Sketch is a classic black and white drawing look. Oil has the rich color and texture of an oil portrait. Ornaments use the watercolor style.
Are these hand painted?
No. Our design team creates each portrait digitally from your photo so it looks like watercolor, a sketch or an oil portrait, then we print it (or send you the digital file).
